Barcelona Chair Despite its title, this layout was actually born in Germany. Bergere Chair Usually associated with the nation French style of decorating (Marie Antoinette used them in her rural estate), the Bergere armchair is defined by an upholstered seat and back that is typically an overstuffed cushion. Additionally, it has been produced with a wicker or wood foundation. The papasan was released in the US around 1950 and actually boomed from the casual and freethinking decade of the 1970s. The cushion is usually made of a thicker cotton or velveteen full of a cotton fluff. The metal or plastic framework typically folds into itself, allowing for simple storage and transportation. These folding kind designs are also known as "moon seats".

Parsons Chair Much like the Name Implies the Parsons or Parson's Chair is directly linked to the Parsons School of Design in Paris, France. It was created from the 1930s; the assignment of this design was to give comfort and flexibility when maintaining a clean, non-fussy silhouette. The armless chair has straight lines with a padded back and seat. This simple look makes it flexible enough for almost any room to be used as an accent chair.

Queen Anne Chair Named after the ruler who reigned over England from the 18th century, this particular style of furniture design is marked by easy features like curvilinear lines, vasiform splats, and cabriole legs (among four affirms shaped in 2 curves; a single convex and the other concave). The chair of a Queen Anne chair is usually horseshoe-shaped. Carved scrolls and shells in the crown and knees of this piece also characterize this design. The seat is typically upholstered.
